The annual vigil for the Miami Five was held outside the American Embassy last night and was addressed by various trade union leaders and Aleida Guevara (Che’s daughter) . The Cuba Solidarity Campaign is asking all trade unionists to support an Early Day Motion in Parliament to press the American government to allow proper visitation rights for the wives of the 5. Amnesty International and many other humanitarian groups around the world are supporting the campaign.
Our Branch has ordered a supply of postcards for members to sign and send to their MP’s to get them to support the Early Day Motion, but in the meantime please feel free to write to your MP using the text attached.
