On 4 November, 800 people attended César’s funeral in Cajamarca. It was raining, but the church was full to overflowing. César was a very valued and respected member of the community. People expressed fear that the situation in the Cajamarca was becoming more unsafe. They feel that it is very important for what is happening in Cajamarca to be visible at an international level. This is one way that leaders in the area can receive a degree of protection. Continue reading
