Branch Secretary vacancy
- Full time secondment to the UNISON office
- Located in Walthamstow
- Busy and varied role
One of the UK’s largest trade unions needs a Branch Secretary. The person elected will be the main contact person with the wider union and will work closely with the branch chair and other officers to provide leadership. This is a core officer role which is pivotal to the functioning and running of the Branch. The post is open to all London Borough of Waltham Forest Council members.
We are looking for a proactive person who will take pride and ownership of their contribution in a busy, diverse setting. We need someone who can manage a small team, delegate work to branch officers, convene and attend branch meetings and oversee branch membership amongst other duties. The role will keep you challenged and busy and give you the opportunity to utilise your strong organisational skills.
If you want to be involved in a national organisation that has an Investors in People Award and campaigns, represents and negotiates better pay and working conditions for staff then this may be the role for you.
The job is open to a job share but needs to be covered full time.
