Age UK work from this building. Age UK Waltham Forest and Reaching Out East provide key services and support to older and disabled residents, this includes befriending, computer classes, exercise classes and clubs in which residents can socialise and have contact with others who are mostly isolated and alone. These services link volunteers with lonely residents so they have someone to talk to, this is also an opportunity in which hazards are also addressed and raised up, for example going into a home where the smoke detector is bleeping and the individual does not know how to replace the batteries.
It supports eight groups (mostly run by volunteers) including the Waltham Forest Low Vision Forum, Waltham Forest Parkinsons Group and NELFT Falls Prevention Service. Sign the petition here.
