AGM – Thursday 9th March......

The Branch Meeting is to be held on Thursday 22nd September in the Waltham Forest Town Hall Council Chamber.
The meeting will start at 12.30pm and finish at 1.30pm with registration from 12 noon onwards. Please note that members are entitled to up to 2 hours agreed paid time off to attend the meeting.
The meeting will be held in the Waltham Forest Town Hall Council Chamber at 12-2pm – put the date/time in your diary now!
As well as freebies, all attendees will get a free raffle ticket (the draw to take place at the meeting).
We have 3 speakers:
- Stuart Petrie, Head of HR, LBWF – speaking about Building the Council 2020
- Steve White, Branch Secretary, NUT – speaking about Anti academies
- John Noblemunn, Regional Officer – speaking about tribunals

Janet Walker was duly elected Branch Secretary for Waltham Forest UNISON Local Government Branch for the period of 2016 until the 2017 Branch Annual General Meeting. The ballot count took place on Monday 7th March 2016 at the UNISON Greater London Region Office. The candidates nominated for the election were Jonathan Savage and Janet Walker.
AGM – 1 week to go!......
Our AGM is being held next Wednesday 24th February in the Council Chamber, Waltham Forest Town Hall 12-2pm and 4.50pm for those who can’t make the lunchtime meeting. Before the AGM at 11.30am a Pensions Workshop will be held. There will be stalls, speakers, feedback from conferences and many other items on the Agenda. All members welcome.
AGM 24th February......
The AGM will be held at two different times to enable as many of our members to attend as possible. The first meeting will be at 12 noon and will run until 2pm and the second meeting will begin at 4pm and run through to 5:30pm. Lunch will be provided at the 12.00 meeting. We are seeking volunteers to help with our AGM mailout. It is simply a matter of putting labels onto envelopes and stuffing/sealing envelopes. Last year we had a strong contingent of retired members who helped us enormously and we were very grateful to them. We are very keen to hear from anyone who can spare an hour, two or even more to come in and help us. We will provide refreshments and a warm welcome! Continue reading
