Workers’ Memorial Day ceremony at the Assembly Hall, Walthamstow Town Hall......

The Workers Memorial Day Ceremony took place on Friday 26th April 12pm at the Assembly Hall. Those who attended were asked to wear something purple in respect for those lives lost at work. The Mayor laid a wreath.

WMD & May Day in Waltham Forest......

Trade unionists, campaigners and supporters gathered on Sunday 28th April in Abbot’s Park, Leyton to mark Workers’ Memorial Day by remembering the dead and committing to fight for the living, they also celebrated May Day.  John Cryer MP was there and spoke at the WMD event.

Workers Memorial Day Ceremony 26 April......

You are invited to the Workers Memorial Day Ceremony on Friday 26th April 12pm at the Assembly Hall, Waltham Forest Town Hall Grounds.  The Mayor will be laying a wreath.

Please wear something purple in respect for those lives lost at work.

Theme for the day is: “dangerous substances – get them out of the workplace”.
