Shrewsbury 24 Campaign......
The Shrewsbury 24 were building workers who took part in the first ever national building workers’ strike in 1974. Five months after the strike the pickets were picked up by the police and a total of 243 charges placed against them. 40 years later the campaign is seeking to overturn a miscarriage of justice. Attached is a petition which we ask members to support and sign. The deadline is 30 November.
Further information on the campaign can be found at http://www.shrewsbury24campaign.org.uk/
