Dave Prentis drew a line in the sand when he addressed UNISON’s national delegate conference in Brighton last week.
It would, he said, “be an autumn that this coalition will remember”, an autumn of co-ordinated industrial action and the 18 October demonstration in London.

Fairness at Work Research Centre at the University of Manchester is hosting an event at the British Academy in London on Thursday 3 July 2014. It is all about researchers communicating with practitioners, making their research available to them, and in collaboration with the user community.
In addition to discussing the general issue of ‘fairness at work’, there will also be sessions on equality and diversity and working conditions (including zero hour contracts). Continue reading
