All Members Welcome – Branch Meeting 8th October 2014

The above meeting is going to be held at Waltham Forest Town Hall from 12:30 to 2pm or 4:30 to 6pm..

The Branch is holding a Special Branch Meeting on Wednesday 8th October to discuss the all-out national strike called for Tuesday 14th October. Materials will be available at the meeting where our picketing arrangements and any other activities relating to the day will be discussed.

We will also be planning for a branch presence to be felt on the TUC Britain Needs a Pay Rise March and Rally on Saturday 18th October. The branch banner will be meeting the demonstration at 11am on the Embankment. We want members, other trade unionists, family, friends, community organisations etc to be out on that march with us to get maximum publicity and to show that Britain does indeed need a pay rise. More details will be coming so keep an eye on the website.

The meeting will also discuss the latest developments in the branch’s local London Living Wage campaign and the UNISON Ethical Care Campaign for Home Care workers who are suffering exploitation and unfair working practices. So do come along and encourage your colleagues to join you. It should be lively and interesting.
