End Austerity Now – National Demonstration Saturday 20th June......

There is an anti-austerity march this Saturday organised by the People’s Assembly.  The march leaves the Bank of England, Threadneedle Street at 12.00 and is organised by the People’s Assembly.  If anyone is going they can take the branch banner.  Contact the office on 0208 496 4703.

Court cases trauma for stressed social workers – UNISON report......

Heavy workloads are leaving more than nine in ten (90 per cent) social workers without enough time to prepare for court cases involving vulnerable children and families, a new report from UNISON reveals today (Wednesday).

Half the social workers questioned (49 per cent) admitted they were not confident when appearing before a judge. Continue reading
