Open University bans Cuban students – take action now......
One of Britain’s biggest educational institutions, The Open University, is operating a policy that bans applications from Cuban students. The OU cites fear of prosecution from United States’ anti-Cuba blockade laws as justification.
Please take action to end this discriminatory policy today.
The Cuba Solidarity Campaign believes that the Open University’s action is unethical and illegal under UK law, and is asking supporters to take action to overturn it now. Continue reading

We need to Solve the Housing Crisis......
East London People’s Assembly have announced that campaigning journalist George Monbiot is coming to East London on Wednesday 26 July to speak at a rally on the Grenfell disaster and the housing crisis in Britain.
He will be joined by former Grenfell resident and campaigner Mona Kamal, Eileen Short from Defend Council Housing and others, including, they hope, local MP Rushnara Ali.
The meeting will take place at the Bow Methodist Church (E3 4LY) on the corner of Merchant Street and Bow Road, just two minutes from Bow Road station or Mile End.
