Christmas greetings and branch office closure......
We would like to take this opportunity of wishing all our members and supporters a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
There will be reduced coverage in the UNISON office over the Christmas period. If you need urgent help during this time you can contact UNISON Direct on 0800 0857 857.
The office will close at 2pm on Friday 22nd December and will be open on 28th and 29th December (closing at 2pm on Friday 29th).
Normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday 2nd January, though the website won’t be updated until w/c 8th January.

Michael Gove Accused Of Plotting To Steal Holiday Days From Workers......
Michael Gove has been accused of plotting to rob workers of their holidays and weaken their employment rights.
According to The Sunday Times, the environment secretary will use a crunch Cabinet meeting on Tuesday to demand Theresa May pull the UK out of the EU Working Time Directive – which restricts the working week to 48 hours.
