Waltham Forest Council will ‘build its way out of’ coronavirus recession with site work resuming this month......

Waltham Forest Council is determined to “build its way out of” the recession caused by coronavirus and will soon restart building work.

Work on the Juniper House site on Hoe Street will restart later this month, with contractors observing social distancing rules.  Click here to read more.

The coronavirus crisis has sparked a huge increase in people using food banks for essential supplies, charities have warned.

The Trussell Trust said its network had seen its busiest-ever period, with 81 per cent more emergency food parcels being given out in the last two weeks of March.  Click here to read more.
