Returning to the office: your rights at work......

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we’ve been fighting to protect UNISON members who are at the forefront of the COVID-19 response.

We are working proactively with the UK governments, employers, and other bodies to keep you safe at work and will continue to do so as lockdown measures ease across the UK.

The UK Government and other devolved parliaments are outlining plans for the easing of restrictions in the coming weeks. Different approaches are being taken by each country.

MPs raise concerns about Whipps Cross plans......

Waltham Forest’s three Members of Parliament have written a joint letter highlighting their concerns over plans for the new Whipps Cross Hospital. 

Leyton and Wanstead MP John Cryer, Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy and Chingford and Woodford Green MP Sir Iain Duncan Smith penned a letter in late May to Alastair Finney, redevelopment director for the project. 

In the letter, all three MPs said they “fundamentally disagreed” with the decision to cut the number of beds by around 50.   Click here to read more.
