Single Status Update......
Single Status for APT&C Grades 1-6 is almost completed for council posts. With schools there are still some posts to be looked at. At this moment we are arranging focus groups with Site Service Officers/Caretakers. Nursery Nurses and Admin should be receiving letters very soon. If anyone would like more info please contact Noreen Ferrari on 0208 496 4502.

Our next event in our campaign to stop the pay, terms and conditions cuts proposed by the Council is being held on 30 June 12 noon-2pm at Waltham Forest Town Hall. If you can only make part of the rally do please still come. We appreciate that this is a lunchtime and it might be difficult for many of our workers but even if you can only visit the rally for 10 or 20 minutes then we would still like to see you there – please attend if you possibly can, the more the better.
Protest against cuts to terms and conditions! See flyer for full details
Trade unions met with Councillors on 21st June. The report presented at that meeting can be found under Hot Topics under Terms and Conditions.
COUNCIL PAY CUTS – WE ARE NOT HAVING IT

A motion was agreed. The meetings agreed to Boycott the Survey, Organise lobbies and other events to highlight our case, Sign up to the Joint Unions Petition, Call for an Industrial Action Ballot and lunch a “We won’t Sign” Campaign at the appropriate time.
