Coronavirus: Tube numbers to be ‘severely restricted’......

A severely reduced number of passengers will be allowed to use the Tube network in order to stick to strict social distancing rules, a leaked Transport for London (TfL) report has warned.

Its message is extremely stark – with social distancing it will only be able to transport tens of thousands of commuters rather than hundreds of thousands.  Click here to read more.

Coronavirus: Sir Keir Starmer calls for ‘national consensus’ on plan......

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has called for a “national consensus” on tackling coronavirus when the UK begins to move out of lockdown.

Ahead of talks with the PM and other opposition leaders this week, Sir Keir set out his priorities for the next phase of the response to the virus.

He is calling for more ambitious targets on testing and new safety standards in the workplace.

Coronavirus: Reduced Tube service has led to overcrowding......

Cuts to Tube and buses in London have led to overcrowding during the coronavirus outbreak, Britain’s biggest travel watchdogs have said.

Passengers claim busy Underground trains due to reduced frequencies have meant a “lack of social distancing”, according to Transport Focus and London Travelwatch.  Click here to read more.
