Remembering Ray Bellas......
Ray held a large number of roles in NALGO including Staffside Secretary and was the first Branch Secretary in the newly formed UNISON, a post he held for 2 years. He was Children’s Convenor when he left the council in 2011 but continued as an observer for UNISON on the local Pensions board.
Ray represented a large number of union members over the years in disciplinary and other hearings. Many members received pay rises due to Ray’s tireless work on job evaluation panels. Continue reading

Volunteers wanted!......
We are seeking volunteers to help with our AGM mailout. It is simply a matter of putting labels onto envelopes and stuffing/sealing envelopes. Last year we had a strong contingent 
of retired members who helped us enormously and we were very grateful to them. We are very keen to hear from anyone who can spare an hour, two or even more to come in and help us. We will provide refreshments and a warm welcome! Continue reading
